Understanding Your Role
What a CareCard reviewer does and what they can see.
As a reviewer, you open a document a student sent in and make a decision on it. No admin or coordinator at the institution does this — reviewing is CareCard's job.
How Your Scope Works
Only CareCard staff review submissions, across every institution.
What You Do
Review submitted documents
- Open a submission, read the document, and choose a decision — Approve, Reject, or On Hold.
- When you approve, set how long the approval lasts — a dated Expiry, or Never expires.
- Add a Comment with your decision. The student reads it.
- Change a decision that's already recorded, and reassess when the student uploads again.
What You Can't Do
You can't manage the institution. Campuses, programs, users, tags, and access requests are the institution admins' job.
You can't build requirements. Program Coordinators create requirements and assign them to a program. If a student has none, that's a coordinator's setup gap, not a review problem.
