CareCard Officially Launches CCVerify on September 15

The first step toward a Canadian credential and compliance network for people working with vulnerable populations.

CareCard officially launches CCVerify
CareCard introduces CCVerify — the first service in its vision for a Canadian credential and compliance network.

CareCard, a Canadian education and health-tech company building a new approach to credential and compliance management, today officially launches CCVerify, the first service in its vision to create a trusted credential and compliance network for people working with vulnerable populations.

For healthcare and social-service students and professionals, compliance is a recurring part of working in environments where people receive care. Before entering a placement, starting a new role, or moving between organizations, individuals may be asked to provide documentation demonstrating that they have completed required credentials, checks, training, immunizations, certifications, and other requirements.

The problem is not simply the amount of documentation. It is what happens to that information once it has been collected.

People may submit the same information repeatedly to different organizations, through different systems, with limited visibility into where their information is stored, who has access to it, and how long that access remains available.

CareCard believes there is a better way.

Putting people in control of their credentials

CCVerify is designed around a simple principle: your credentials are part of your professional identity, and you should have a say in how they are shared.

With CCVerify, individuals can organize their compliance documentation, have documents validated, monitor their compliance status, and share verified information with authorized organizations.

The longer-term CareCard vision goes beyond validating and storing documents. CareCard is building toward a model where individuals can:

  • Own their credential and compliance information
  • Know what information they have shared
  • Decide who can access it
  • Control how long access remains available
  • Reuse verified information when appropriate rather than repeatedly starting from scratch

This creates a different model of credential and compliance management — one in which the individual is at the centre.

A different way of thinking about compliance

CareCard is not simply digitizing paperwork. It is challenging the assumption that every organization needs to independently collect and manage the same information from the same person.

Instead, CareCard envisions a future where a person can build a trusted record over time and selectively share verified information when required. The individual does not lose visibility once information leaves their hands. They can know who has what information, and for how long. That is the foundation of CareCard's approach.

Building toward a network

CareCard's broader vision is to become Canada's trusted credential and compliance network for people working with vulnerable populations. This includes people working across healthcare, long-term care, community care, social services, childcare, and other environments where individuals may be required to demonstrate that they meet specific credential and compliance requirements.

The opportunity is to move from a world where organizations repeatedly request and collect information to one where verified information can move securely with the individual.

Verify. Connect. Vault.

The CareCard platform is built around three core services — VERIFY, CONNECT, and VAULT:

CC VERIFY
Validate credentials and compliance requirements.
CC CONNECT
Connect individuals, educational institutions, and placement sites.
CC VAULT
A secure place to maintain important records.

Together, these services create the foundation for a credential and compliance network built around the individual.

The beginning of a bigger journey

The launch of CCVerify marks the beginning of CareCard's broader journey. We are currently partnering with students, educational institutions, placement organizations, and healthcare providers to bring our platform to a broader audience and create meaningful impact across the education and healthcare ecosystem.

Our goal

To make verified credentials and compliance information portable, trusted, and controlled by the people who earn them.

Our vision

A Canadian credential and compliance network for people working with vulnerable populations.
